3 ultra-fresh Tampa Bay restaurant updates

Check out a new South Tampa French restaurant, Pete’s drive-thru, and a massive food hall.

A rendering of Central Park St. Pete. The five-story concept has tables out front with people eating, people walking by and cycling by, and a yellow brick wall lined with windows and a balcony.

Hi Hospitality Group is leading the project.

The old adage “Good things come to those who wait” is a little cheesy, but it’s a classic for good reason. Some long-awaited TBAY eateries are finally opening their doors, and we’ve got the scoop:

Central Park Food Hall

Sunshine City residents are finally getting their own food hall. Central Park Food Hall is almost finished after three years of construction.

The five-story Central Avenue space will boast two floors of options like Palm Avenue Deli, Don Ricardo’s Taqueria, Strawberry Fields, Park Pie Pizza, a frozen cocktail concept, and a local boutique. The other three floors will offer even more restaurants + a members-only club.

Pete’s

Picking up a last-minute breakfast doesn’t sound too bad — if it’s a salt bagel from Pete’s. The TBAY brand recently opened its first drive-thru cafe right by the Old Southeast neighborhood, but you can walk or bike through too.

The refurbished Standard Oil gas station offers all the beloved Pete’s menu options. It’s the second opening for the TBAY brand in recent months, following Seymour’s in February.

Bar Terroir

Bar Terroir, a new South Tampa French bistro and wine bar, officially opens Wednesday, June 12, according to the Tampa Bay Times. It’s the latest offering from Tastes Pretty Good, i.e. the owners of the ever-popular Rocca and Streetlight Taco.

So what can diners expect? Plop down at the old Little Leon location for French classics, 270+ vino picks, and cheese and charcuterie options.
